Print Finishing
Enhancing and Protecting Print
Print Finishing
At Wallace Print, we provide a comprehensive finishing service that ensures every project leaves our facility correctly prepared, professionally presented and fully suited to its installation or end use.
Large format print finishing often involves multiple steps, each carried out with accuracy and care. Whether you are delivering a national retail rollout, a one-off signage project or a multi-component installation, our finishing team ensures each part of the process is completed to the same high standard as the print itself. This end-to-end control is central to producing graphics that are reliable, long-lasting and ready for immediate use on site.
Comprehensive Finishing for Large Format Print
Our finishing department handles a wide variety of materials, formats and project types. Rigid panels, flexible graphics, banners, window films, wallpapers and POS components all require different finishing approaches, and our team is equipped to manage them all. Every item is processed with attention to detail, ensuring clean edges, straight lines, accurate dimensions and professional presentation.
This capability allows us to support printed graphics for sectors including retail, construction, corporate interiors, exhibitions, events and external signage. By managing finishing in-house, we maintain full control over quality and reduce the risk of delays often associated with outsourced processes.
Protective and Enhancement Finishing
Many graphics require protection or enhancement before they can be used. Our lamination service provides added durability, resistance to wear and improved visual appearance. This includes gloss, matt, textured and anti-graffiti options suitable for both internal and external use. Mounting print onto rigid substrates is also carried out in-house, creating stable panels for signage, hoardings or long-term displays.
Protective finishing is essential for graphics in high-traffic areas, outdoor environments or applications requiring frequent handling. By applying the correct finish, we ensure longevity and visual consistency across all components.
Cutting, Shaping and Structural Finishing
Some projects require more technical finishing. Through CAD cutting, CNC routing and plotter cutting, we produce graphics that are cut to shape with high precision. This supports applications such as point of sale units, shaped signage, window decals, stencils, standees and multi-layered displays.
Our precision cutting capabilities enable the production of unique designs and engineered components with accuracy, enabling creative freedom without compromising structural integrity.
Banner Finishing and Flexible Media Preparation
Banners and large flexible graphics often require specific finishing to ensure safe installation and long-term performance. We provide hemming, eyeletting, welded seams and pole pockets to suit various mounting systems. These processes make large format banners suitable for exterior use, scaffold frames, tensioning systems and retail environments.
Each banner is trimmed, finished and inspected by hand to ensure the correct size, fixings and edge strength are achieved before dispatch.
Kitting, Collation and White-Label Packing
For multi-site rollouts or complex installations, accurate kitting and collation are essential. Our finishing team prepares graphics in clearly labelled sets, grouped by site, area or fitting order. This allows installers and project teams to work efficiently on site, reducing confusion and minimising handling errors.
We also provide white-label packaging for trade partners and agencies. Neutral documentation, plain wrapping and client-specific labelling ensure your brand remains central while we support the production behind the scenes.
Dispatch-Ready Preparation
Before any graphic leaves our facility, it undergoes a final quality inspection to confirm colour accuracy, correct dimensions, finish clarity and clean presentation. Prints are wrapped, protected and packed according to their size and fragility, whether travelling as individual sheets, rolled items or palletised shipments.
By maintaining strict control over the finishing and packing stages, we ensure that every order arrives in perfect condition, ready for installation or distribution.
Printing Services
We offer a complete suite of large format printing services, covering everything from start to end of the printing process. All produced and finished in-house for consistent quality.
Frequently asked questions
What types of finishing can you provide for large format print?
We offer a full finishing service including trimming, lamination, mounting, cutting to shape, hemming, eyeletting, creasing and kitting. These processes ensure graphics are supplied in a professional, installation-ready state. If required, we can also deliver the finished items directly to site or arrange installation through our fitting team.
Can you finish graphics for outdoor environments?
Yes. We apply protective laminates, reinforced hems, welded seams and other finishes designed for long-term outdoor performance. Once completed, the graphics can be shipped or installed on site depending on your project requirements.
Do you offer shape cutting or contour cutting as part of finishing?
Yes. We provide CAD cutting, plotter cutting and routing for precise shaped graphics on both rigid and flexible materials. These services form part of our finishing workflow and allow us to produce everything from decals to structural display components. Finished items can then be packed for delivery or installation.
Can you prepare multi-site or multi-phase projects?
Yes. Our team can kit, collate and label graphics according to site, department or installation phase. This supports large rollouts and ensures each location receives the correct sets. We can deliver directly to each site or coordinate installation if required.
Do you offer white-label packing for trade and agency clients?
Yes. All finishing and packing can be completed under neutral, unbranded conditions. This includes plain wrapping, custom labelling and discreet fulfilment. Deliveries can go to your warehouse, direct to your client or directly to installers depending on your preference.
Can you laminate or apply protective films to printed graphics?
Yes. We supply a range of laminates including gloss, matt, textured, anti-slip and anti-graffiti finishes. These are applied as part of our finishing process to protect prints during use, handling and installation. Finished items can be shipped or installed by our team.
Is your installation service available across the UK?
Yes. Although our installation team operates from Kent, we carry out projects nationwide and maintain competitive costs across most regions. We work regularly in London, the South East and major cities throughout the UK.
Are finished items checked before leaving your facility?
Yes. Every graphic undergoes a final quality check for accuracy, finish clarity and presentation. After inspection, items are wrapped and packed appropriately for transport, and we can arrange delivery or installation to ensure the project is completed smoothly.
