What is a trade printer?

A trade printer produces large format print for other print businesses rather than for the public. It lets an agency, designer or print manager offer print without owning the machines or the space to run them. You win the work and keep the client, and we produce it under your name.

What we can print for you

We are a large format specialist, so we cover most things printed at scale, from printed hoarding graphics and large format banners to printed wall graphics, floor graphics, exhibition display and signage. We print rigid boards on UV flatbeds and flexible media on reel-fed printers up to 5 metres wide, across a wide range of print materials that includes Foamex, Dibond, Correx, Outdoor Vinyl, vinyls, mesh and textiles. Cutting, routing, laminating and finishing all happen in the same building, with no subcontracting, so quality stays consistent and your work stays confidential.

Deadlines in print rarely move, so we run a 24-hour production facility for the jobs that will not wait. That lets us turn urgent work around quickly without pushing your other jobs back.

We work under your name

Confidentiality is the point of a trade printer, so we keep our branding off your jobs and use yours instead. Finished print comes back to you, or goes straight to your client in plain, unbranded packaging with no mention of Wallace Print. If we deliver it ourselves, we use a plain white van with your name on the docket, and you can supply your own delivery note if you prefer. We also will not knowingly approach your clients, because we know how much work goes into winning them and keeping them.

How a trade job works with us

Most jobs follow the same simple path, so you always know where yours is up to. You send us the artwork, and if you would like a hand with materials or setup, we are happy to advise before anything goes to print. We flightcheck the files, confirm the materials and finish, and can run a test print for anything colour-critical. Once it is signed off, we produce and finish the job in-house, then pack it plain and send it to you or straight to your client under your name.

Finishing, delivery and installation

A print is only finished when it is ready to go up, so we handle the stages after the press as well. Cutting, routing and laminating all happen in-house, including anti-graffiti and protective laminates where a job needs to last outdoors. From there the choice is yours: finished work can come back to you, go direct to your client in plain packaging, or be installed on site by our own team under your name.

We can take a job all the way from the first site survey through to the finished install, so there is one point of contact for the whole thing, and for larger jobs we handle national rollouts and multi-site work with the same finish across every location.
